Welcome to this side of the world where I write primarily about where I grew up and currently live in, Malaysia.
Initially, this was meant to be a site where I share about my travel experiences around the world, and somehow, along the way, I figured that most of the people I’ve met along the way don’t actually know the existence of Malaysia on the map.
Most of the people I’ve met knew where Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand are located.
This makes me wonder and ponder: If everyone knows where all three countries are located, why not Malaysia?
I set this up to literally introduce to you what Malaysia has to offer. It won’t be just through me but through the words of the people I’ve met traveling in Malaysia.
I’ve heard all sorts of reasons why people either don’t visit Malaysia or only spend a few days here. It’s always amusing to find out the reasons why. 😛
- Malaysia is too dangerous – I don’t know who is spreading the news…?
- Malaysia has nothing to see – Have you actually been here?
- There are a lot of extremists since it’s a Muslim country – Errrk? O.O
You get the point.
I can assure you that Malaysia is all about hospitality and making you feel like you’re home. Well, at least we try to make the best of your stay!

Some Things About Me
- Pain au chocolate, café long, and people-watching are my favorite combo!
- I speak fluent French. It’s funny how I can understand people gossiping in the French language, and I try so hard not to react!
- I love skydiving. The sensation of jumping out of planes at a high altitude is impressive, but I’m scared to stand on higher ground.
- I’m a mechanical engineer-turned-writer who also happens to be a local guide in Malaysia.
- My social media RARELY gets updated live – so when I update, it looks like I’m traveling constantly, while actually, I’m just home doing my laundry 😛
