1. Teluk Pandan Kecil Beach – Bako National Park – Sarawak
Let’s kick off the list with the best beaches in Sarawak!
Located near the iconic sea stack, the “Cobra Head” of the Bako National Park in Sarawak which sadly collapsed earlier in February 2024 😞
These iconic landmarks won’t be here forever, so we should visit and appreciate them while we still can!
Nestled in the stunning Bako National Park this picturesque beach is accessible via a hiking trail from the park or by boat.
So, if you go for a hike in this park, you will come across this little gem, surrounded by cliffs and lush green jungle.
It’s an ideal location for immersing yourself in nature and relaxing under the sun & wooing the good-looking proboscis monkeys 😜

2. Damai Beach, Kuching, Sarawak
Next on our list is Damai Beach. This beach in Santubong is less than an hour’s ride from the city center.
This beach is special because it brings you a breathtaking view of Mount Santubong as the backdrop.
I’ve got mixed reviews about whether it’s safe to swim at this beach.
So, I’d recommend you check for warning signs around the beach before jumping straight into the water.
You can plan to visit Bako and then stay near Santubong for a day or two to enjoy your time at this beach. There’s a good resort overlooking this beach.
Otherwise, you can also stay in the city centre and go on a day trip to the beach. I’ve stayed in both The Marian Boutique Lodging House and The LimeTree Hotel before; both are incredibly great and highly recommendable.

Tusan Beach used to have a famous sea stack called the ‘Horse Head’ that unfortunately collapsed in 2020 😞
So, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets to witness the wonders of nature before they are gone!
